The legend of Braveheart lives on in a new hip-hop musical.

Through the medium of hip hop – basically folk music in caps not cardigans – three performers bring historical figures such as Robert the Bruce, Edward Longshanks, and Marion Braidfute to life as they retell the story of William Wallace from birth to his glorious death, and beyond… 

What does it mean to be Scottish? Which stories get remembered – and why? And who even was William Wallace anyway?

Wallace is a new musical by Rob Drummond and Dave Hook that explores Scotland’s greatest icon: his heroic acts, his indomitable spirit, and his contested place on the spectrum between myth and history.
